Quality Assurance for Custom Rubber and Silicone Products

Define the material, dimensions, hardness and application requirements before production. WeProFab uses project-specific inspection and testing to help you receive rubber sheets, mats, gaskets and custom parts that match the agreed order reference.

START WITH THE SPECIFICATION

Quality starts before the first sheet or part is produced

A rubber product can look acceptable and still be wrong for your application. Before production, we align the drawing, material, hardness, dimensions, surface, color and any compliance requirement that matters to your order.

Send the drawing, application conditions and acceptance points you care about. We will use them to define a practical inspection reference for the order.

Rubber sheet and gasket dimensions checked against a project drawing

⌖

Drawing & dimensions

Critical dimensions, tolerances, thickness, width and length are agreed against your drawing or approved sample.

◫

Material & hardness

Material type and Shore hardness are selected around temperature, media, wear, sealing and flexibility requirements.

✓

Surface & compliance

Color, texture, reinforcement, finish and market-specific documentation are confirmed where applicable.

ORDER-STAGE QUALITY CONTROL

Checks follow the order from requirement review to shipment release

Not every rubber product needs the same test. The inspection route should follow the material, structure, application and risk points confirmed for your project.

01 · REVIEW

Confirm the reference

Drawing revision, material, hardness, dimensions, finish, quantity and packaging are reviewed before production.

02 · INCOMING

Check incoming material

Material identity and the project requirements are checked before the material moves into the production route.

03 · FIRST ARTICLE

Verify the first output

Key dimensions, appearance and agreed functional points can be reviewed before the full run continues.

04 · IN PROCESS

Monitor production

Thickness, dimensions, hardness, surface and other selected points are checked during production as applicable.

05 · RELEASE

Inspect before packing

Finished products and packing details are checked against the approved order information before shipment release.

PRODUCT-SPECIFIC INSPECTION

Different rubber products need different inspection priorities

We focus the inspection on the points that can affect fit, sealing, wear, handling and repeat ordering—not on a generic checklist that ignores the product.

Physical inspection of rubber sheet

Rubber & silicone sheets

Check thickness, width, length, surface, hardness, reinforcement and roll or sheet condition against the approved order reference.

Silicone gaskets for dimensional and surface inspection

Gaskets & sealing parts

Check geometry, critical dimensions, hardness, edge condition and fit before the part is released for repeat production.

Review gasket materials →

Hardness testing of rubber mats

Rubber mats & flooring

Check thickness, hardness, surface pattern, edge condition, appearance and consistency across the selected batch.

TESTING EQUIPMENT

Use the right test for the property that matters

A single test cannot prove that a rubber product is suitable. The equipment below supports different questions about hardness, strength, wear, deformation and size.

Rubber hardness tester

Hardness tester

Checks Shore hardness against the agreed material or product requirement.

Universal tensile strength testing machine

Universal tensile tester

Supports tensile and elongation evaluation when these properties are relevant to the project.

Rubber abrasion testing machine

Abrasion tester

Helps evaluate wear behavior for products exposed to repeated surface contact.

Rubber compression and deformation tester

Compression tester

Supports deformation-related checks for sealing, cushioning and load-bearing applications.

Rubber strength tester

Strength tester

Used when the project specification requires a defined physical strength check.

O-ring measuring cones

O-ring measuring cones

Provides a practical dimensional reference for circular seals and O-ring sizes.

Bursting strength testing machine

Bursting machine

Supports strength evaluation for relevant reinforced or sheet material constructions.

Rubber dimensional inspection tools

Dimensional tools

Checks thickness, width, length and critical geometry against the agreed reference.

REVIEWABLE EVIDENCE

Ask for the records that support your purchasing decision

Tell us which quality documents your team needs before quotation. Availability and format depend on the material, product, test standard and order requirements.

Quality engineer reviewing rubber inspection records and samples

Approved drawing or sample

Keeps dimensions, material, hardness, appearance and revision under one agreed reference.

Inspection record

Selected measurements or inspection points can be recorded when agreed for the order.

Material or test documentation

Relevant documentation can be discussed according to the compound, standard and application.

Packing and shipment evidence

Labels, quantity, packing method and shipment photos can be aligned with the purchase order.

COMPLIANCE BY APPLICATION

Confirm the required standard before material selection

Compliance is not a blanket claim for every rubber product. Tell us the destination market, application and required standard so the material and supporting documentation can be checked for your project.

Important: confirm the exact material grade, test method, report scope and document validity before placing an order. A certificate shown on the website does not automatically apply to every compound, thickness, color or finished product.

QUALITY ISSUE REVIEW

If a problem appears, start with evidence from the actual order

A clear review is faster when the product, batch, drawing and failure condition can be connected. Send the details below so the relevant team can investigate the issue against the order reference.

Identify the item

Share the purchase order, product name, drawing revision, quantity and batch or label information available.

Show the problem

Provide clear photos, measurements, video and a description of how and where the product was used.

Review the cause

The product information and evidence are compared with the approved order requirements and production record.

Agree the action

Containment, replacement, rework or another practical action is discussed according to the verified cause and order terms.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Questions to settle before production

How are dimensional tolerances confirmed?

Send your drawing or required dimensions and identify the critical points. The practical tolerance depends on the rubber material, hardness, manufacturing method, product geometry and size, so it should be confirmed before quotation and sampling.

Can you test Shore hardness?

Hardness testing is available for applicable rubber and silicone products. Specify the Shore scale, target range and test reference required for your project.

Which tests are needed for my rubber product?

The answer depends on how the product will be used. Temperature, media, abrasion, compression, sealing, tensile load and regulatory requirements determine which properties should be checked.

Can I approve a sample before mass production?

Sampling can be discussed for custom projects. Use the sample to confirm material, dimensions, hardness, surface, color and fit before the production reference is released.

Can you provide inspection or test documents?

Selected records and supporting documents can be discussed where applicable. Confirm the document name, test method, acceptance criteria and required format before the order is placed.

Do all certificates shown apply to every product?

No. Applicability depends on the material grade, formulation, thickness, color, production route, test scope and destination market. Ask us to verify the exact requirement for your product.

What should I send when reporting a quality problem?

Send the order number, product label or batch information, drawing or sample reference, affected quantity, clear photos, measurements and application conditions. This gives the investigation a reliable starting point.
